Mark your calendars for December 7, 2024, as we welcome the festive season with our annual St. Nick’s Day celebration. Organized by the Tulipán Foundation, in collaboration with the Arany János Hungarian School and the Hungarian Scout Troops in New York, this family-friendly event brings Hungarian holiday traditions to life at the Hungarian House in New York City, and all are welcome.
As always, St. Nick will make a special appearance, delighting children as they sit on his lap and receive a traditional Mikulás csomag (a red bag filled with goodies). Families will also enjoy a heartwarming Nativity play and festive songs, creating a magical atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
This year’s arts and crafts activities will, as always, feature authentic Hungarian traditions taught by artists and teachers from Hungary. While the exact activities are still being finalized, you can expect hands-on projects that immerse children and families in the joy of creating something special, inspired by Hungary’s rich cultural heritage.
This beloved event fills up quickly, and registration will open in mid-November. Be sure to check back soon to secure your spot and join us for a memorable celebration of the season–and stay tuned for updates as we reveal the exciting details in the coming weeks.
